For the hop today, I've created ....... a few different things. I made some hearts from cardboard and decorated for Valentines and I also made 2 layouts for my little girl. She loves pink and anything girly.

All you have to do is pick a shape you like that folds in half evenly and glue as many as you want together. I used 5 on my first one then wanted it fuller so I made the second one with 9 of each.

So for the next few days I want to share some easy home made gifts that you can give that are nice but inexpensive. I made this set of 2 candles to give to a good friend. The candles came from the dollar tree and I just stamped on wax paper, colored and then used my heat gun to transfer. You can find many different tutorials on the web if you google stamping candles. I would love to hear what you think as this was my very first try at making these.

So for todays project I made a wreath.These are quick and simple to make for just a few dollars. I usually go to the thrift store and pick up my grapevine wreaths most of them are pretty ugly so I just strip them down and redecorate. You cant beat $1 for it compared to alot more at the store.Then I usually head to the Dollar Tree to pick up some fake flowers and whatever else I think is cute. So here is my final project and I love it!

I made it oh so cute with a new activity to do each day. I used a large piece of cardboard to make the base and painted it white then I cut out library pockets from tags, bags, boxes and more cart. So I have decided to make some place cards to add to my Etsy store. I think I like these and have been playing around. There are so many possibilities and these would be wonderful for the holidays and weddings. I can see these on the table for Thanksgiving to point out the exact spot for each special family member (really so you can control who sits where to avoid WW 3 LOL). These would also be great for a fall wedding....so I am looking forward to see what I can create in the near future.

I created something I can use for decoration at my halloween party. I think it turned out so neat and looks like someone digging their way back out. I made the flowers and put them on stems, bought the hand at the dollar tree and tied on some ribbon. I hand cut the BOO and added google eyes!

a Fall Tag

tags are something I rarely ever make. I like them I just dont seem to use them on my pages and hardly ever add them to gifts as my family and friends really dont appreciate them and I hate to see them get tossed aside after all that hard work and love that goes into making them. BUT there was a challenge over at the More Paper Than Shoes ning site to make a tag that describes you. My inspiration weeds from the yard, berries from the trees, and pinecones from the yard.

I made this captured fairy jar using a recycled salsa jar, some handmade flowers, and some of the things from the yard.

Got the wreath from the thrift store for $1.50 and added a $1 scarecrow, some old flowers, and things from the yard.

Used my summer flower pots and just added the things from the yard, the gourds from my grandmaws garden and a pumpkin that we grew ourselves.

Another cheap wreath that cost $1 to make.

My kids wagon I filled up with nature.

A wreath I made for my grandmaw. Just bought the ribbon and scarecrow new got the wreath at the thrift store.

A set of plain wooden frames I got for .50 each at the thrift store just glued the glass in, and painted on the letters and added handmade flowers.

Here is some new sprays I created for Christmas and just a few general color ones. I will be working on some fall ones and will be adding them later tonight or tomorrow. These are wonderful to add to gifts, use on layouts, cards or on altered art projects. I am making some family picture canvases for Christmas and will use these sprays on them. It been quite a while since I added pics of my family. I love having this blog. I have told stories on here and have since forgotten them so its nice to be able to go back and look at what I posted. So I thought I would share some new pics. We went for a lovely walk at a place close by. It was a beautiful saturday and it came the day after Blake my 4 year old had surgery on his teeth.We thought for sure he would be in pain but he is doing great and hasnt even had 1 dose of meds. Anyways I am very thankful for everyone that said a prayer for him!

Ok so I am thinking what can I do on a dreary day outside. Fall is coming and I cant wait but thought I would put some of my new paper to use before I bring out Christmas LOL so I made a basket, 6 flowers, and 3 cards all by using only 2 sheets of pattern paper (thats not counting cardstock of course). I'm thinking of maybe doing these in fall and christmas themes and giving as gifts this year. Fall would be great full of nuts and Christmas with some peppermints. Anyways here is the result and Im not sure what I'm doing with this one yet but I do love pink and green together!

Hello and welcome to my little space in the crafty world. I am your very last stop on this spot and I hope you have enjoyed all the projects featured today. I heard about something called a captured fairy jar so I went and searched youtube and found lots of wonderful tutorials. I decided to make my own version but using Tinkerbell for my little girl. Keep in mind that this was my very first time making one but I am extremely happy how it came out! I handmade all the flowers from scrap paper, used little sticks I found outside and painted, used moss from an old flower arrangement I had and of course the jar was recycled. I would love to know what you think of my jar. For my blog candy I am giving away a Tinkerbell and the same flowers I used on my jar. All you have to do is leave me a comment! Hello and welcome to the wonderful state of North Carolina. I have to say that I dont live here but I love to visit! One of my favorite places to visits is Cherokee, North Carolina. It is kinda close to my heart since I have Cherokee blood in my family. It is beautiful country up there with the Great Smoky Mountains and black bears and all of nature in general. We were lucky enough to get to go a few months ago and we happened upon the Cherokee Bonfire. They gathered together to tell stories of their history and legends and I loved it and hope you will too. Ok so here is my first Halloween card of the season. I had so much fun with it. Today most definetely feels like fall when it goes from being 100* to being 65* Im freezing LOL. The Great Outdoors

Well I have to say that I think camping is one of my fav things to do. I didnt get to go for almost 6 years because I have had small babies and just thought it was too dangerous but we got to go back this year after my 4 year old watched Caillou and saw him go on a camping trip. It was very fun. Michael and me got to spend time together, the kids loved the water and roasting marshmallows and we had great time together as a family without all the distractions of electronics. I cant wait to go again hopefully at least one more time before the weather gets cold. well kind of.... this was a challenge where you had to use a vintage photo or picture on a project. So I found this old pic online and took the colors out they were super 60's lol and made it black and white. I plan on eventually putting it on a layout to use with my wedding pics and journal on the inside.
